I have found the best program to be NovaMind, which allows you to create really great looking mind maps very easily, and you can work with the outline alongside the mind map.

This really unleashes their ability to get the ideas out there and communicate them effectively. There are some amazing talents locked up by systems, technologies, and people who just want to do lip service to ways of helping these people achieve their potential. I have also found that people with ADHD respond very positively to mind mapping, as they can add the branches in any order and reorganize them easily etc.

Give them the right tools and they absolutely shine!
