Yes, in Article 3,the definition of “Beneficiariy Person”, the people for whom accessible books can be made under the Treaty’s terms, does cover people with severe dyslexia.

From the above per Dan Pescod on ratification of the Treaty: ” … and with that comes the job of explaining to people in simple terms what the treaty provisions allow.”

In pursuing ratification of the Marrakesh Treaty at least in the major content countries that will be net-exporters of copyrighted materials in accessible format, Mr. Pescod’s job may be more in explaining what the Treaty WON’T allow.

Excellent news. To think it has taken at least 15 years (from my limited knowledge) to get to a position of greater equality and access to written material for visually impaired people.

One point – does this treaty also help people who are not visually impaired but with severe dyslexia?
