Compelling Nudge: Service providers should offer the option of letting customers go 'back to paper' if they are unsatisfied with digital service delivery, to encourage more elderly people to try digital methods, according to a new report examining digital exclusion among elderly people. Other recommendations include that local authorities should promote selected internet service providers to cut down on "choice overload" for older computer users. The report, 'Nudge Or Compel: Can behavioural economics tackle the digital exclusion of older people?' was produced by the International Longevity Centre, a think-tank that specialises in ageing and population change:
